Volume

Capacity or volume is a measure of how much space something takes up (BBC Teachers, 2011). In order to teach young students about the concepts of volume, non-standard units can be used as it is more understandable for their level. Teachers can let students build their understanding about volume by using cups, corn seeds, sugar, sand and marbles.
